The Congressional Calendar has been released and we can now confirm that the Missouri & Kansas Education Policy Leadership Programs' Washington Legislative Summit (WLS) will be held on Wednesday, April 15th through Friday, April 17th. Both the United States Senate and House will be in session during that time. Tuesday, April 14th will be your travel day.
Please find below the dates for the Missouri & Kansas EPLP Washington Legislative Summit (WLS):
-- Tuesday, April 14th: Travel day, check into DC hotel (information on hotel provided at January meeting), personal time.
-- Wednesday, April 15th: WLS full day, focus on membership and stakeholder organizations.
-- Thursday, April 16th: WLS full day, focus on the legislative branch.
-- Friday, April 17th: WLS half day, program & Hill Day debriefs, agenda complete by 12:00 pm, check out of hotel, travel home late afternoon/early evening.
-- Personal & Professional Calendars: Please mark these dates and save them in your personal and professional calendars.
-- Postpone Making Travel Plans: This point is important. Please do not make travel plans (flight or hotel) until after the January meeting. Instructions for every aspect of your planning will be provided during the meeting.
-- January Meeting: Travel and logistics for the Missouri Legislative Summit and Washington Legislative Summit will be discussed in detail during the January meeting, held on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.
